I stand before a problem tall, A mountain that I can’t crawl, It blocks my path, it brings me down, And I feel like I’ll surely drown.

But then I take a step back, And realize I can attack, This problem from a different side, With a new approach, I won’t be denied.

I turn my back on what’s in front, And take a breath, a little grunt, And then I turn around again, With a fresh perspective, I begin.

The problem now looks different still, And I can see a way to fill, The gap that once was in my way, I’ll overcome it, come what may.

So when you’re faced with a problem tall, And you feel like you’ll surely fall, Just turn your back and take a break, And then come back, a new path to take.
